Materials

Warning: If you intend not to use a preamp then beware that the QFH will be a dead short, if your receiver outputs 12volts DC then you may need to disable the 12 volt output either via switch or some other means.

Two lengths of Three metre 15mm copper tubing or Three lengths at two metre.

Ten 15mm endfeed elbows, these are cheaper than Yorkshire type, if you do use Yorkshire allow for this when marking lengths. all my measurements are for the endfeed type, you could also use compression and crome plated piping if you fancied.

One 15mm "T" and a 22mm to 15mm reducer. See FIG 1

22mm plastic waste connector

22mm waste pipe you only need a 150mm length.

One 35mm plastic film case with a flat top for balun assembly, the flat top makes sealing easier, one 35mm ridged film case top, for end cap.

You will need a plastic spacing washer to go with balun assembly, I use the plastic from the sides of old kitchen unit drawers, I am sure most people have similar bits lying around the shack.

Two 4mm* 25mm bolts and four nuts.

Some 18swg enameled copper wire, for balun.
